The Red Pashmina Campaign

The Red Pashmina Campaign

Our Victoria Chapter members will be walking from the Legislature steps on Saturday, July 17, and the timing could not be more important. These programs raise funds and awareness at a crucial time for women and girls in Afghanistan. Download the pledge sheet here, or use the contact us form for more information.

Having just finished a successful online auction raising almost $4,000, the Chapter is eager to build participation and awareness.

The Red Pashmina Campaign, started in 2012 by our Honorable Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Rural Economic Development, Maryam Monsef, and high school friend Jess Melnik, has raised more than $150,000 to help support women in Afghanistan. What was envisioned as a one-time event has become an annual campaign.
